The Fire They Fear

I watched you turn your back today,
Like kindness was a fucking joke.
It’s easier to look away,
Than feel the weight of what you broke.

You preach the shit you’ll never do,
A hollow love, all talk, no spine.
When did the world make it so true—
That hearts like yours rot just fine?

A bleeding hand, a pleading face,
And still, you walk, you shut your eyes.
Empathy’s a damn disgrace,
When comfort feeds your selfish lies.

I used to think we all could care,
That people burned with something real.
But now I see—it’s fucking rare,
To find a soul that dares to feel.

Still, I won’t sink, won’t turn to stone,
This rage, this fire—it’s mine to keep.
If I stand fighting here alone,
At least I’ll burn before I sleep.
